Jennifer Fant

Shareholder

Ms. Fant is a shareholder with Harbottle Law Group, which she co-founded with Mr. Harbottle in 2009. Prior to co-founding HLG, Ms. Fant worked for over a decade as a special education teacher and program specialist in Southern California school districts. Ms. Fant holds Masters degrees in both Clinical Psychology and Special Education, and a law degree from Loyola University. Since 2008, Ms. Fant has provided legal representation to Southern California school districts. She represents clients in all forms of special education litigation under the IDEA, Section 504, and within student services. Her specialty is early conflict dispute resolution, and she prioritizes rebuilding long term cooperative relationships between clients and families.

Prior to beginning legal practice, Ms. Fant was already well known throughout Southern California school districts for her instrumental work in the founding, development and maintenance of the autism programming in one of Southern California’s largest and most populous school districts. Given Ms. Fant’s background in the classroom, she is sought-after for her practical straightforward advice on how legal recommendations can be implemented within our clients’ programs. As such, Ms. Fant regularly provides professional development to school district stakeholders and state and regional special education conferences.
