Ms. Brady joined Harbottle Law Group in September 2015. Prior to practicing with HLG, Ms. Brady was Deputy General Counsel to the Los Angeles County Office of Education. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from U.C. Santa Barbara and her JD from Chapman University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Brady was a judicial extern for the Honorable Terry Hatter in federal district court.

Ms. Brady provides legal consultation and representation in the areas of compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, charter schools, Brown Act, student records, student discipline, and complaint procedures. Ms. Brady is experienced in both state and federal litigation, including writs and appeals. Ms. Brady also advises personnel commissions.

Over the past five years, Ms. Brady has developed a specialized practice working with California charter schools, and is particularly sought-out for her expertise in the unique challenges faced by charters that utilize independent study and home teaching options.
